An upcoming Brattleboro event will help support an important local organization.
HCRS is the host of the upcoming 19th Annual Golf Tournament & Silent Auction, an event that will help open doors for community members with developmental and intellectual disabilities. People attending the event have the option of playing golf, bidding at the auction, or just enjoying the outing.
People who are playing will have items supplied including a golf cart, greens fees, access to the online silent auction; on-course prizes, contests, and games; golf balls; player gifts; a box lunch, and the dinner banquet.
The silent auction is an online event and is open to everyone. The items available for bid have been donated by community members, staff, and local businesses, and include gift bundles, services, and experiences. The bidding will end the day of the tournament at 11.45 am.
A 50/50 raffle will be part of the fun. Tickets are $5 for one; $10 for three; or $15 for five. The winner will receive half the pot with the other half supporting HCRS. The drawing will take place during the banquet, and the winner need not be present.
The tournament is scheduled for June 12 at the Brattleboro Country Club. Registration is $175 per player through May 29, and $195 per player thereafter. The online auction opens on June 1. Events like this benefit when organizers use poster printing to create advertising for them.
