Artists and creatives in the Brattleboro area will want to save the date, as a glassblowing workshop is being organized in town for those seeking to learn a new skill.
The Introduction to Glassblowing workshop, which is being organized by Fire Arts Vermont, has opened registration to interested parties in town who wish to discover a new creative pursuit. The session will be led by experienced artisans and instructors who are prepared to lead a memorable experience in the host venue’s hot shop.
The session will be led by Randi Solin, and students can expect a hands-on and immersive learning environment. The class will allow each participant to work with molten glass to create a unique piece to take home. Solin will teach the fundamental skills of glassblowing, with a focus on shaping, coloring, and cooling. Teachers can use brochure printing to provide tips, techniques, and instructions in a comprehensive learning document at such events.
Students can create a keepsake for their home decor, or as a gift to a friend or loved one. Spots in the class are limited, so interested parties are encouraged to make reservations while they last.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, May 2, starting at 10:00 AM. Fire Arts Vermont, located on West River Road in Brattleboro, will be the host venue. Tickets are $225 per student online.
