Music festival planned for Brattleboro

Although details are still being worked out, a popular event is being planned in Brattleboro.

The Northern Roots Traditional Music Festival has grown into a vital part of New England’s music scene. In 2021, the festival was held virtually, and was a rousing success offering fine music and a record number of attendees. It was also the occasion for things that can only happen online, including one performer who discovered the chicken coop was the place with the strongest Wi-Fi signal—when the Wi-Fi was on at all. At one point, it was disconnected by a curious cat.

Organizers who are planning the 2022 festival will again offer a “different” experience, noting they are not prepared at this time to return to an entirely in-person event with crowded hallways, rooms, and pub. Instead, they are trying to devise both in-person and online events, though they have not yet finalized plans. Poster printing can provide attractive advertising for local events like this.

They have put the dates on the schedule, however, so music lovers in Brattleboro should note that the 2022 festival currently has three different times scheduled, all on the same day, January 29. Presumably the different times indicate that there are three different venues involved. Details will be provided later. Currently, there is one session from 12.00 pm until 5.30 pm, a second from 1.00 pm until 5.30 pm, and a third from 7.30 pm until 9.00 pm. The venue is the Brattleboro Music Center.
