Ashland will once again host the Down on the Farm Wing Fest at Hanover Vegetable Farm on Father’s Day Weekend this spring.
The event includes not only a variety of local wing trucks to choose from, but also live music and cold beverages.
Participants will be able to judge which local wing guru is the best. With each entry ticket to the event comes a poker chip, which can be used to vote for which wing vendor should be named the winner. Cocky Rooster, a two-time championship, will once again return to defend its title.
Attendees can also put their names in a drawing for a chance to win $100.
The event is for all ages, with tickets for entrants aged 13 and up costing $10 in advance and $20 at the door. Children 12 and under are free. There is a 3,000 person limit for the event.
The Primis Bank Stage will host live music from Ten 4 One and Nobody’s Poet. Local wing trucks include Jus Cukn BBQ, Jakes Place, Wrapperz D-Lite, PRD Concessions, Cocky Rooster, Jem’s Catering Caribbean Cuisine, Strawberry St. Cafe, Firesides, and Rolling Smoke BBQ.
Food festivals like this may choose to use business card printing for vendors to hand out to customers.
The 4th annual Down on the Farm Wing Fest is happening on Saturday, June 14 from noon to 6:00 pm at the Hanover Vegetable Farm at 13580 Ashland Road.
