Fitness and diet a virtual theme in Alexandria

Health in African American society is the theme for two upcoming virtual events hosted by businesses in the Alexandria area.

The African American Networking Group for the Veg Society of DC (VSDC) will meet virtually via Zoom. Though free to attend, participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. The link to the meeting room will be emailed by January 1.

VSDC promotes veganism in the DC Metropolitan area, including following a vegan diet to being conscious about animal products in household items.

Also, Alexandria based fitness center Black Girls Lift is working with celebrity fitness expert
Ernestine Shepherd to present Ernestine In The House: Get It Done in 2021! This event will take place on Zoom.

After 45 minutes of body weight exercise guided by Shepherd, there will be a question and answer session. Viewers can submit questions for Shepherd to read out and answer on screen. Both Black Girls Lift and Shepherd hope to motivate and inspire viewers to be healthy and physically fit.

Limited early registration is $25 and general admission is $35. It costs $10 extra to receive a recording of the Zoom meeting.

The VSDC will meet on January 8 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, while Ernestine Shepherd will be on Zoom on January 16 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Health and fitness organizations use refreshing and motivational graphic design techniques to advertise themselves to attract clients.
