Oronoco Bay Park will host an Independence Day and birthday celebration of Alexandria.
The nation will be 244 and Alexandria will be 271 years old. There will be cupcakes and fireworks in the evening. The park has a field where guests can place blankets or lawn chairs. Vendors will serve hot and cold food. Pets, tents, oversized umbrellas, and grills are prohibited. The City stage will be the meeting spot for families who become separated.
Officials prefer guests to take more eco-friendly Forms of transportation such as biking, walking, or bus. The Alexandria government website has a map of the city's bike paths and available parking. The King Street Trolley is free and will run until 11:45pm. The section of North Royal Street that connects with Madison Street and Pendleton Street is where taxis and rideshares will operate.
There are several parking garages and lots in the historic Old Town area. The 500 block of North Fairfax Street has parking that is handicapped-accessible.

This event is on July 11 from 6pm-10pm. The rain date for the fireworks only is July 12 at 9:30pm. Oronoco Bay Park is at 100 Madison Street.
