The 2013 Business Leaders and Awards Reception is taking place in Alexandria in a few weeks, and is a presentation of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and Alexandria business leaders.
This year, the reception will be honoring David Speck as the Business Leader of the Year. This honor is awarded to someone who has shown personal leadership, dedication to community services, and presidency over a business that has grown significantly or provided innovation to the business community.
Other awards that will be presented at the reception will include Small, Medium, and Large businesses of the year, Association/Non-Profit, Rising Star, and Overall Business of the Year.
The event will be catered by last year's Business Leader of the Year award winner Chef Cathal Armstrong. Guests will also be treated to refreshments and will have the opportunity to network with one another. No doubt many will want to make professional connections with those businesses that will be honored during the reception.
Business card printing will probably be in order for many of those Alexandria business leaders who plan to attend the reception. This will ensure that their cards have correct contact information, are in pristine condition, and that they will not run out of them.
The Business Leaders and Awards Reception will take place at the George Washington Masonic Memorial on October 23 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Admission is $115 for Alexandria Chamber of Commerce members or $165 for non-members. Call the chamber for more information at 703-549-1000.
