Signature event scheduled in Cottonwood Heights

What might be thought of as Cottonwood Heights’ signature event is on the schedule.

Butlerville Days is now being planned, though in a slightly revised format. The multi-day celebration honors the founders of the city, which includes the McGee and Butler families. They provided lumber to Salt Lake City in the 1860s, as the city was beginning to increase in population. The first settlement was known as Butlerville, and Butlerville Days has been popular since its inception.

As always, the committee organizing the event is committed to making it affordable and safe for everyone to enjoy. With the concerns presented by the pandemic, they have decided to cancel both the inflatables and the carnival for the current year. To take the place of these popular attractions, the committee is already working on fun activities that will be exciting substitutes.

However, other traditional activities are going forward. These include the fireworks, concert, food vendors, car show, parade, and the movie traditionally shown in the park. Banner printing can be used to create fun decorations for outdoor events like this, as Banners are weather-resistant and sturdy.

The year’s Butlerville Days 2021 are set for July 19 to 24. The movie will be presented on July 23 at dusk, and the other activities will be held throughout the day on July 24, with the parade starting at 11.00 am. Organizers will announce other plans as they are finalized.
