The annual Light the Heights celebration will brighten the holidays in Cottonwood Heights. The event is presented by the City in conjunction with the Cottonwood Heights Arts Council. Organizations that get involved with community activities such as this often use poster printing to advertise their events.
A full evening of family entertainment and activities will take place ahead of a magical tree lighting ceremony. The night kicks off with a visit from Santa who will pose for photos and listen to children’s Christmas wishes.
Local vendors and artisans will be on hand with a wide array of holiday treats and gift ideas. The local arts council will have two special booths set up for children’s activities. Youngsters can stop by to write their personal letter to Santa and participate in festive arts and crafts projects.
Families will be able to warm up with hot chocolate and holiday cheddar delight - a hearty macaroni and cheese dinner offered while supplies last.
Just prior to the lighting of the Christmas tree by the city mayor, the crowd will be entertained with live festive music performed by the Brighton High School Symphonic Band.
Light the Heights will be held from 5 pm to 7:30 pm outside the Cottonwood Heights City Hall, 3277 East Bengal Blvd. Santa and Mrs. Clause will meet with children inside from 5 pm to 6:45 pm.
