Night Nation Run is coming to America First Field in Sandy near Cottonwood Heights next month.
The unique event is a fun run combined with a vibrant music festival featuring live deejays, special effects and lights. Similar running music festivals have become popular in a number of American cities.
The event will include pre-race warm-up dance music before runners start the 5K run in waves every several minutes. Music will fill the air along the run course and then participants will cross the finish line to experience an impressive main stage after party.
The music will continue throughout the evening leading up to an unannounced top deejay providing the headline performance.
The Night Nation Run will be held in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a charity created to further cancer research. Runners can purchase special SU2C race bibs or T-shirts as part of the fund-raising efforts.
Event registration for all participants will include a race packet, entertainment, a glow necklace and giveaways. Sponsors who take part in similar large entertainment events often obtain promotional products to use as giveaways.
Night Nation Run will take place on June 6, 2026, at America First Field, 9256 S State Street in Sandy, near Cottonwood Heights. Deejays will start the music at 6:30 pm while the first wave of runners will begin their runs at 8:30 pm.
