Parks and Recreation boosted by Cottonwood Heights golf tournament

Next month’s 21st Annual Charity Golf Tournament is one of the largest fundraising events for the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation (CHPR) Foundation.

As a non-profit group, the organization works to ensure all members of the community have the opportunity to access recreational activities. The foundation not only provides monetary assistance to allow families in need access to recreation programs, but also supports community events and contributes to area facilities.

Players who register for the charity tournament will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, breakfast and lunch, prize entries, and on-course contests.

The tournament relies on donations, as well as the numerous businesses that provide hole and meal sponsorships, gifts, and prizes. Major sponsors will receive golf registrations, course signage, and website and newsletter recognition.

Foundation committee members encourage sponsors to donate raffle prizes or branded items for the swag bags given to each of the 150 golfers. Businesses often obtain such promotional products from local Print shops.

The Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Foundation Charity Golf Tournament will be held Wednesday, August 27 at South Mountain Golf Course, 1347 East Mike Weir Drive in Draper, just south of Cottonwood Heights. Play begins with a shotgun start at 8:00 am. Further information is available on the parks and recreation website.
