The annual Festival of Trees near Cottonwood Heights will celebrate pediatric healthcare while raising funds for Utah's Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital.
Presented by the Intermountain Foundation, the festival features a large silent auction of holiday decorations, Christmas trees, wreaths, homemade gingerbread houses, nativity scenes, quilts and other festive crafts and gifts, much of them created and donated by community volunteers.
Auction items can be viewed in person and online with the opportunity to make bids for two days at the start of the Festival of Trees. The event also includes a showcase of other merchandise and activities. Attendees can listen to live musical performances while strolling through a gift shop, Santa Land, a sweet shop and kid's corner. In the past, an average of more than 70,000 people have attended the annual event, which is now in its 54th year.
Last year's Festival of Trees raised $3.4 million for children's healthcare and support for their families. The foundation achieves this fundraising success through a tradition of partnerships with thousands of individuals, organizations and retailers who sponsor, contribute funds and donate auction articles to the cause. Businesses who sponsor charity events such as this often turn to local companies to provide professional logo design to enhance their brand.
The 2024 Festival of Trees will be held December 4 through 7 at the Mountain America Exposition Center in Sandy, near Cottonwood Heights. Doors open at 10am each day. There is a special opening night for the silent auction on December 3, 2024 from 7pm to 9pm.
