Hip Hop event coming to Cottonwood Heights area

Residents of Cottonwood Heights and the surrounding area have a chance to help others soon, and have some fun at the same time.

Honeypot Concerts, along with The State Room, is presenting hip-hop artist One Be Lo in concert, along with The Honeypot Hip Hop Roots All-Stars. Flower Power Productions has been producing the Honeypot Glass Blowing and Music Festival for the past five years. The unusual combination spotlights both glass artists and musicians, bringing attention to the musical scene in Utah, as well as calling attention to glass blowers from the area.

Now the event is being scheduled in Salt Lake City, and is designed to help need residents of the area. The event is a benefit for the home shelter in Midvale Road, and is being held to gather supplies, food, and warm clothing for the shelter's residents.

The headliner for the event, One Be Lo, is from Michigan, and is an alternative hip-hop master. He is half of Binary Star, a rap duo. His solo albums have been successful, and he is part of Massive Monkees, the World Champion B-boy crew. Other artists taking part are Mixter Mike, Zac Ivie, and Malev Da Shinobi, and more.

The concert is set for February 22, at 8.00 pm at The State Room in Salt Lake City, easy to reach from Cottonwood Heights. The doors open at 7.00 pm. Poster printing can be used to create colorful advertising for this type of event.
