The Annual Mayor’s Cup Pickleball Tournament will be returning to Cottonwood Heights for its seventh year this summer, offering days of friendly competition.
Cottonwood Heights City and Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation are the hosting sponsors of this yearly tournament. Insurance Concepts is the event’s community sponsor.
This casual community pickleball tournament will not include any onsite officials, so players are asked to use their own judgment to determine which division is best to compete in based on skill levels. Event categories for which players can register include Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Open Singles. Since Mixed Doubles is the most popular division, the Annual Mayor’s Pickleball Tournament will be featured for two days of the event. Divisions for players over the age of 50 are also included. When preparing for tournaments, the hosts of Cottonwood Heights events make physical copies of rules and information with printing services for participants to review.
The 7th Annual Mayor’s Cup Pickleball Tournament is set to take place from Wednesday, July 20 to Saturday, July 30. There will be a brief, two-day period between this time on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 for which the Pickleball Tournament will not proceed until the following Monday. Matches will begin in the evenings between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm on each day of the tournament.
