Cottonwood Heights gearing up for 57th Annual Christmas Parade

December 3, 2011 is the chosen date of the 57th Annual Christmas Parade. Local businesses and residents alike are encouraged to come out and participate in this year’s festivities. Christmas Parade entries are expected to check in at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds at 9:00 a.m. while the event itself is scheduled to take place at 11:00 a.m. The procession will follow a set route through the city and end on Main & Cactus Street. Judging by the support that the Christmas Parade has traditionally enjoyed, this year’s event is sure to be a success as well.

Parade entries are allowed to register as either businesses or non-profits. Although the November 11, 2011 early registration date has since come and gone, would-be participants still have time to sign up and start looking into the banner printing options available to them. Between now and November 30, 2011, companies will be charged a non-refundable fee of $40.00 for each entry made. Fees collected from non-profit organizations, schools, and the like are also non-refundable but the cost is a very affordable $20.00 per entry.

The organizers have made a few requests to those who wish to participate in this year’s parade. All entries are to be checked in at 9:00 a.m. and are asked to be lined up and ready by 10:30 a.m. so that the rest of the Annual Christmas Parade can as planned. The November 30 deadline is coming up quickly so those who want to join the parade will have to register soon.
