Cottonwood Heights announces celebration dates

Cottonwood Heights is getting ready for one of the biggest events of the year, and has announced new dates.

Butlerville Days pays homage to the founders of the city and its history. Although this year's details are still being finalized, live entertainment, games, food, and a parade are on the schedule. The parade will begin at Fort Union, and follow 2700 East to Bengal Boulevard. Other activities will take place later in the day and the evening behind the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center, in Butler Park.

The event also includes a 5K run that will begin a 7:00 am, starting from the recreation center's east parking lot, which is next to the pool. At about 7:45 am, which is the anticipated time of the end of the race, refreshments will be available on the pool deck. In addition, awards will be given to the runners who finish first in each age division, as well as to the top female and male winners overall.

The entry fee is $25 for adults who would like to receive a T-shirt, and $20 without a shirt. Younger runners, age 11 and below, have a fee of $20 with a shirt, and $15 without.

There are new dates for this year's festivities, which are now scheduled for July 17 and July 18. The 5K is slated for July 24. Banner printing can be used to create decorations for celebrations like this, as they are suitable for outdoor use.
