5K event for Cottonwood Heights

A 5K race is to be held this November in Cottonwood Heights.

The event takes place on the morning of Thanksgiving Day, and will give patrons the opportunity to enter a fun activity with family and friends before enjoying the holiday’s festivities. The occasion offers two separate events for different ages. These are the Youth 5K, for those eleven years of age and younger, and the 5K event for those of twelve and above. The race offers a circuitous route through the town, giving participants a scenic tour of the area while being physically active.

Each participant will receive a chip-timed bib. There will also be raffle prizes and giveaways during the event, which includes a complimentary event t-shirt. The organizers recommend that all participants collect their packages on the day before the event to ensure that the correct sizes for shirts are received. The highlight of the event will be the presentation of medals for those who outrun the City’s Mayor, or their representative, during the race.
