New service available at McKinney Library
McKinney residents who wish to earn more about using different types of computer software will now have access to an easy way to do so.
The McKinney Public Library can provide training in 500 topics related to software for both Macs and PCs. The system consists of short videos through the Atomic Training resource. The titles cover some of the most popular software from names like Google, Adobe, Microsoft, and Apple.
Anyone who is a cardholder can borrow titles from their office, home, or at either Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library or the John and Judy Gray Library.
According to Spencer Smith, who is the director of the McKinney Public Library System, this will make it easier for anyone to upgrade their skills at a time and place that is most convenient for them, and they can do so free of charge. A newsletter printing company can create publications that let the public know about this and any other happenings that are currently going on at the library. These can be mailed out to all cardholders or made available in an online format on the library’s webpage.
All of the videos have been closed captioned so that hearing impaired individuals will also be able to use them.
Anyone who would like to find out more about the Atomic Training Videos or what else the library has to offer is invited to visit its website.
