McKinney class gets crafty

A summer day in McKinney can be a real scorcher, but an upcoming crafting class will be held before the heat really rises.

Walls of Clay has organized its Stoneware Social for early July, and admission will be by reservation only. Each participant will be creating their own custom bowl, and its listing pointed out that since it's been set for the morning there should be lots of parking.

The ticket holders will be preparing stoneware bowls that are nine inches in diameter, and they will be using an exclusive “peacock” technique to add their own personal fair. Each will be unique, and there's lots of colors to choose from. The completed bowls will be freezer, dishwasher and microwave safe, and the materials instruction as well as the firing and fishing are included in the registration fee of $62.00, and it will start at 10:00 am.

The listing for the workshop explained that, while refunds will not be given, ticket holders who can’t attend may be offered credit towards another class. Stationery printers can prepare waivers as well as safety information sheets, instructions and care tips for an activity.

Walls of Clay has planned its Stoneware Social for July 5th, and it will start at 10:00 am. The participants will be informed about when they can pick up their completed project. It is located at 211 N. Kentucky Street.
