McKinneys abstract art workshop opens for creative minds
Artists and art lovers of all skill levels are welcome to join ‘The Secret Sauce’ in McKinney in the new year.
This is an abstract art workshop led by award-winning artist Robin Maria Pedrero with the aim of providing a hands-on opportunity for creatives to experiment.
The full-day session will allow participants to explore color, texture, and composition under Pedrero’s guidance. The day will begin with creative process exercises that help loosen the mind and spark new ideas. Participants will then get to experiment with acrylics and mixed media to develop their own abstract language. Everyone is welcome to the event, regardless of whether they are beginners looking to discover new skills or experienced painters wanting to expand their approach.
The $200 registration fee covers select materials attendees will need during the workshop. Otherwise, the organizers urge everyone to bring their own painting materials. There will also be a tool-making session where guests can learn to craft their own mark-making tools, thus expanding their skillset. Vendors can use business cards to network and reel in new clients looking for their services.
