The family-friendly Texas Country Reporter Festival will be coming to Downtown Grand Prairie in March.
The Texas Country Reporter Festival is a one-day celebration that is based on the Texas Country Reporter show. There will be several activities held during the festival, such as the Made in Texas Vendor Market, Oasis of Optimism Art Contest, and a vintage car show. Attendees can also take part in new events this year like the Prairie Dog Showdown and Backroads to Main Street Parade. Guests will get to enjoy live music throughout the fest, including a headline performance by Nikki Lane.
The festival will support the Zavala Family Foundation, a charitable organization that started in 2020 with the mission of helping those in the restaurant industry combat cancer. The group hosts events like Zavala’s Bash to raise funds that cover medical expenses and bills for operating restaurants. People can support the organization by directly donating online or purchasing Zavala’s Barbecue rubs and sauces.
The community fest will be on March 28th from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. There is no cost for people to come to the venue and watch the live performances, though guests are allowed to reserve their spots in advance. Food, drinks, and event merch can be bought during the festival. Vendors who attend similar yearly events can use Print shops to create Signs for their booths.
