Pickleball players in the Grand Prairie area will want to begin practicing with their partners in preparation for an upcoming tournament and fundraiser in town.
The Connection Foundation Pickleball Classic has nearly arrived in Grand Prairie, and players who want to enjoy friendly competition and showcase their skills are invited to get signed up. Money raised by players who register will support the Connection Foundation’s outreach and its future programs. It will be the first tournament in what organizers hope will become an annual fundraising competition.
The tournament will be doubles-only, meaning that individual players will need to find a partner to sign up and play with. Entry costs cover meals and participation in the tournament, and players will have the chance to win prizes. Traditional marketing tactics like flyer printing can be affordable and effective when raising awareness of competitions and fundraisers like this.
There will be beginner and competitive divisions to ensure that players are competing with peers near their own skill and experience levels. The top two finishers in both divisions will receive trophies and cash prizes. New players are welcome.
Chicken N Pickle, located on State Highway 161 in Grand Prairie, will host the tournament. It is set for Saturday, October 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Registration costs $54.13 for individuals or $108.25 for teams online.
