What's Happening in Grand Prairie, TX…

Grand Prairie lights up to welcome holidays

This festive season, Grand Prairie is gearing up once again with a lighting ceremony.

The Prairie Lights 2025 will let visitors drive or walk two miles of illuminated paths. They can expect to encounter over 5,000,000 lights, as well as themed displays and photo-ready installations as part of the city’s December festivities.

The organizers are encouraging families to come and enjoy carnival rides and holiday shopping booths. There will also be visits with Santa Claus with an organized photo session. The event will conclude with a one-of-a-kind LED light tunnel.

Organizers can leverage printing services at such events to highlight special vehicle nights and map queue zones.

While at the event, families can participate in the Walk-Thru Forest tradition. It is included with the park admission and lets visitors take photos in some of the most picturesque spots in the park. The organizers have told attendees they can expect captivating displays with hundreds of all-new displays in shapes of all kinds and arches over the roads. Parking and access information is available on the official site, with some nights allowing fast-pat entries for early visitors.

Opening nightly at 6:00 pm from November 27, 2025, to January 18, 2026, the Prairie Lights light park will take place at Lynn Creek Park. Tickets are available online and onsite with special vehicle nights and walk-through sessions.
