Martin Lawrence is coming to Grand Prairie this June.
The stand-up comedian and film star stunned fans earlier this year when Lawrence revealed a slimmer look on social media after losing weight.
At 61 years old, Lawrence has proven in recent years that he is still very much part of the pop culture zeitgeist, with his recent return to the Bad Boys film franchise proving to be financial hits.
2020’s Bad Boys For Life, in which Lawrence co-starred with fellow headliner Will Smith, crossed the $400 million mark at the worldwide box office, as did the follow-up, 2024’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die. This comes after the original films, 1995’s Bad Boys and 2003’s Bad Boys II, already cemented themselves as modern classics in the action film genre.
After being discovered by Russell Simmons while performing at The Improv, Martin Lawrence got his first break as a host for the HBO series Def Comedy Jam. A TV sitcom, Martin, soon followed, catapulting Lawrence into one of the biggest comedic names in the U.S. at the time, as the show was widely popular. He soon starred as the top-billed actor in comedies like Black Knight and Big Momma’s House.
Stand-up comedy shows like this may choose to use poster printing to create low-cost promotions in the community.
Martin Lawrence is performing on June 6 at 8 pm at the Texas Trust CU Theatre at 1001 Texas Trust Way in Grand Prairie.
