A local Grand Prairie venue will have four spring festivals during the month of March.
The first weekend will be Festival de Primavera Musical where La Bonita 106.7 FM and ‘La Z” Radio 98.3 FM will be providing fun and music. Specialty entertainment, along with music from Los Gran Reyes, will play throughout the afternoon.
The following weekend, the two-day Shrimp Fest returns. The Cajun band Crawfish will be playing as guests chow down on shrimp gumbo, boiled shrimp, and shrimp etouffee. Afterwards, guests are invited to buy all-day ride wristbands or peruse the venue’s flea market.
The third week in March will be a Jazz Fest. Enthusiasts of the genre will get to listen to performances by The Brehms, Marcelo Berestovoy Jazz Group, and Outer Circles.
Kids Fest will round out March fests. Scarborough Renaissance Festival performers will take over the main stage while the second stage will feature Professor Branius. The latter performance will be a high-energy show with songs, music and zany math and science experiments in which the audience will be asked to participate.
Local organizations such as GPISD will have tents with activities for school-aged children. There will also be clowns and face painters.
The fests will be at Traders Village, 2602 Mayfield Road. All fests begin on Saturdays at noon. During February, local Print shops may be conducting plenty of poster printing and flyer printing to get the word out about these events.
