The first ever Grand Prairie Hero Hustle will take place this year in mid-June.
Participants in the 5K and the 10K will start on the infield, race through the stadium tunnel and finish the course out on the trail nearby. Water stations and mile markers will be placed along the course.
Swag will include T-Shirts with the Hero Hustle graphic design and finisher medals.
The family-friendly 1 mile run/walk will be done entirely in the stadium. Families are invited to bring their dogs, put the little ones in strollers and jog or walk the mile. Afterwards, walkers can enjoy the outfield pool.
Everyone is asked to bring a toy or give a donation to the Grand Prairie Santa Cop program.
Each local business or organization that sponsors this event at the $100, $250, $500, $1000, or $1500 levels will get their own Logo Design displayed on the sign-up platform.
Family and friends of potential racers can buy Gift Certificates for them online. Runners can also get refunds for referring other participants. Teams are forming on the race’s website, and as of Memorial Day, eleven teams have been created.
The Hero Hustle will take place Saturday, June 16 from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at Quik Trip Park in the Texas AirHogs Stadium, 1600 Lone Star Parkway.
