Parks, Arts & Recreation Department of the City of Grand Prairie will be holding its 7th Annual Main Street Festival next month. This three-day event will have live music, 14 carnival rides, novelty entertainment, business expo, food, and arts and crafts.
The Main Stage will feature 13 bands and singers. Some of these will be Wade Bowen, La Mafia and Josh Turner. The Community Stage will have entertainment geared to the younger crowd. Performances will range from local youths from local clubs and park programs, ballet folkloricos, karate, singing, baton twirling and dancing. There will also be performances on the Direct Energy Stage.
U.S. Army Reserve will present Earth Day KIDZONE which will feature monster murals, music, games, crafts, educational activities, and camo painting. Guests will be able to meet Reservists and look at their gear and vehicles.
A farmers market will have locally grown fruit and vegetables. Attendees cans also purchase breads, plants, salsa, soy candles, meats, honey, cookies, eggs, and soaps.
The Business Expo will have local non-profit organizations passing out information about their missions, programs and services while businesses will be displaying their goods and services and passing out their Business Cards, discount coupons and Promotional Products.
Main Street Fest will be from April 20th from 5 pm until midnight, April 21 from 10:00 am until midnight and April 22 from noon until 800 pm on W. Main Street along the 200 block and immediate areas.
