The 2018 Grand Prairie main Street Fest will be in full swing in a few weeks. The event will be a free three-day community family event with live music, food, a carnival, and arts and crafts.
The Main Stage will feature Wade Bowen, Josh Turner and La Mafia, while the Grand Prairie Arts Council Stage will have Blane Howard, the Mood Swings Jazz Combo, and Vinyl Stripes. The Community Stage will showcase local talent from singing and baton twirling to ballet folkloricos and karate demonstrations. The ZUZU African Acrobats will be dancing, tumbling, making human pyramids, juggling, and building a tower of chairs.
A carnival will sport 14 rides and younger kids can enjoy the Earth Day KIDDZONE. Here children can participate in arts and crafts, camo painting, Earth Day educational activities and monster murals. U.S. Army Reservists will be there with vehicles and their gear.
A Downtown Pop Up Park will have guests playing games such as cornhole and Jenga, and local vendors will be selling treats.
Local and surrounding area businesses and organizations will be showcasing their products and services in the Downtown Business Expo. Many will be passing out Promotional Products, Business Cards, coupons, and offering discounts.
The Grand Prairie Main Street Fest will be April 20 from 5:00 pm until midnight, Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 am until midnight, and April 22 from noon until 8:00 pm on and round W. Main Street’s 200 block.
