Over four million lights will await guests at Prairie Lights. Hundreds of new displays, including the snow maze and carnival rides, will delight guests as they drive through the 2.8-mile holiday light park.
Midway through the drive, guests can get out of their cars and visit Holiday Village. The village will have gifts, food, a Magic Lighted Forest for people to walk through and a new indoor Holiday Show. Kids can get their pictures taken with Santa, and parents still have time to take the photos to local Print shops to be made into this year’s Holiday Cards. Then everyone piles back into their vehicles and goes on the last half of the drive through a highly animated light tunnel.
To get a good look at the venue before it opens to the public, there will be a Prairie Lights Sneak-a-Peek Run on November 17. This will be a fast walk, jog or run through the park. A slower-paced stroll or walk through will be available the next night, and the night after that will feature the monthly Cyclin’ with the Mayor as it goes through Prairie Lights.
Prairie Lights will open at 6:00 pm this Sunday, November 11 and continues through December 30 at Joe Pool Lake, Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Parkway. Santa will be greeting children in Holiday Village every evening through December 23.
