Festivities bring Kentucky Derby to Grand Prairie

The Kentucky Derby is around the corner, and Grand Prairie residents who want to watch and celebrate in style are invited to join a local party.

The 2025 Day at the Races: A Derby Soiree with Elegance and Hair will open its doors to interested parties in a few weeks. It will bring the aura and celebrations surrounding the Kentucky Derby to the Texas plains and double as a fundraiser for the Pearls of the Ivy Foundation.

Guests will arrive at an elegant venue with a climate-controlled indoor space to watch the races from in comfort. A silent auction will also be held, and live musicians and local bands will provide the soundtrack to the day’s events. Attendees are asked to wear Kentucky Derby-inspired attire to enhance the setting. Banner printing is a colorful way to generate impressions while welcoming attendees to the host venue.

The money raised at the event will benefit Pearls of Ivy, which provides scholarships and community programs in participating cities across the state. It has raised over $100,000 in scholarships for students across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. All guests must be 21 or older to enter.

The derby party will be held on Sunday, May 18th, at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. The gates open at 1:00 PM. General admission is $110 per person.
