The annual motorcycle Lone Star Rally will be returning to the Strand for four days and nights in early November.
The Galveston venue will feature juried jeep, truck, classic car, and bike shows. Three zones – Seawall’s Central Park, Harborside’s Pier 21 and Downtown/The Strand – will have big rigs displaying accessories and motorcycle parts. Along the seawall, hundreds of vendors will be hawking everything from jewelry to leatherwear, and crab cakes to sunglasses.
Cycle Source Magazine will host its annual The Old Time Motorcycle Rodeo Games from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday at Beach Central Seawall. Registration will be from noon to 1:00 pm. Events will include Weenie Bite, Plank Walk, Slow Race, and Whiskey Barrell Roll.
On the Saturday and Sunday, The Lone Star Rally will feature its 10th Annual Drive in Car Show. The show will include hot rods, rats, sleds, low riders, rods, muscle, and classic cars. Participants will receive T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design and goody Bags with their registration. The two-day car show will take place at Harbour House Hotel on Pier 21 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on the Saturday, and starting at 10:00 am on the Sunday. Awards will be given out at 2:00 pm.
Among the 40 bands on the venue’s two stages, featured bands will be The Comancheros, ZZ3, Everclear, Whey Jennings, Keven Fowler, and Zach Tate.
Lone Star Rally will run from Thursday, November 3 through Sunday, November 6.
