The ArtoberFest event will be returning to Galveston this fall, aiming to unite local artists while also bringing together residents.
The festival will feature over 120 artists from across the US in a variety of media, selected by a jury. Artists will also be creating work before a live audience and providing hands-on experience as part of demonstrations. Artisans will be offering art, home decor, jewelry and more for sale. This year’s edition will pay tribute to silkscreen artist and staple of past festivals Patty Hagstrom.
ArtoberFest will also include live music and food vendors from throughout the Galveston area. Featured musical artists include Claudia Font Milano, Songs for Lila and Robert Greaney. Among the food vendors will be HS American Greek Food, Mex 2 Da Soul, and Island Gelu. Vendors at events like this often offer special sales or Promotional Products to attract new customers.
Young visitors can take part in interactive activities as part of the Kids Creative Zone. The festival is run with the support of local volunteers and community organizations. Proceeds will go towards the education and community outreach programs offered by The 1984 Grand Opera House, which also helps to produce and host ArtoberFest.
The 2025 edition of ArtoberFest will take place along Postoffice Street and 22nd Street on Galveston Island on October 18 and 19.
