Galveston residents will have the opportunity to learn about the food industry and enjoy an evening of music in the city’s oldest wooden church building.
‘Live at St. Joseph’s’ is a monthly series promoting live music of many different genres. However, the September event will be unique due to the inclusion of a documentary screening.
Events such as this often make use of Print shops for the purposes of advertising, as well as creating materials for attendees to purchase. Posters and prints are common items to sell so those in attendance can buy something to remember the performances by.
The documentary that will be presented is titled “Hotel of 10,000 Stars”, and will share information about the food supply industry and the interconnected systems and people involved. The evening’s musical entertainment will be provided by Texas local Carrie Rodriguez. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and violinist with several studio albums to her name.
This event will be taking place on September 4 at the 1859 St. Joseph’s Church location, the address for which is 2202 Avenue K, Galveston. Doors for general admission will open at 6:30pm, with the documentary screening beginning at 7pm and the musical performance commencing at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online.
