Music lovers in Galveston may wish to keep an eye on the streets for a roaming music performance this autumn.
In association with The Grand 1984 Opera House, The Concert Truck will be coming to Galveston. The Concert Truck is a converted box truck that allows professional-level classical music performances to happen around the city. The goal is to create performances that can be accessible to anyone who wishes to enjoy them from places such as city streets, schools, or parks.
Organizations without a physical location may need to find different ways to stand out to patrons. One of the ways they can do this is through their graphic design, such as having memorable art or logos.
This outing of The Concert Truck will see audience members enjoying the musical talents of Canadian pianist Kevin Ahfat, who has been praised for both his bold style and technical prowess. Those who stop to watch a performance will see the Truck convert into a concert stage, with a grand piano, professional sound system, and even stage lights.
The Concert Truck will be around Galveston from Monday, October 12 at 12:00 pm to Sunday October 18 at 12:00 pm. The exact times and locations of stops will be announced closer to those dates. All are welcome to attend at no charge.
