The Galveston Island Wine Festival will be returning to this August, looking to highlight food and drink from near and far at the end of summer.
The festival will kick off with a Seven on Seven Seafood Extravaganza, with acclaimed chefs such as David Cordua, Dominick Lee, and James Lundy taking each other on to create seafood dishes paired with a choice from one of seven famed wine regions.
Saturday’s event include a Brunch & Bubbles with mimosas, a Penguins & Pinot tasting at the Oceans of the World Aquarium, a live musical performance, and a fireworks show at Offatts Bayou.
The final day of the festival will feature a Regular Guy Wine Seminar introducing newcomers to wine tasting, a musical performance by Suzy Boguss and a Bourbon Dinner.
In addition to the scheduled events, there will be a Wine Store throughout the weekend offering bottles from local and international vineyards. Last year’s festival featured exhibitors such as Beck Family Estates, Four I’s Winery, and Alexander Valley Vineyards. Vendors at food and drink festivals like this often use eye-popping graphic design on labels to help stand out from the crowd. Each day will also begin with a restorative yoga session.
The 2025 Galveston Island Wine Festival will take place from August 29 to 31 at the Moody Gardens Hotel and surrounding areas.
