The Galveston Historical Foundation will be hosting its 2016 “Battle of the Bags” bean bag toss tournament soon.
This competition will be the debut of the tournament and will help raise funds for the foundation. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Prizes will be awarded, and the winners will receive a trophy, a Hendley Green bag toss board, and bragging rights. There will also be prizes for second and third place finishers. Best team costume will receive a food truck gift certificate.
Tickets are $20 per teams of two and sales will end on June 11. Teams will need to check-in 15 minutes before the event.
The Galveston Historical Foundation is dedicated to preserving Galveston County history. Its mission includes community redevelopment, maritime preservation, and historic preservation advocacy. It also has retained stewardship of historic property and continues to support coastal resiliency. The foundation supports advancement in natural and environmental sciences as they relate to coastal life and historic buildings.
Attendees will want to be sure to bring their digital Business Cards or get some business card printing done to have cards available to pass on to other spectators and participants.
The event will be held on Hendley Green, 2028 Strand Street, Galveston on Saturday, June 11 beginning at 2:00 pm and running until 5:00 pm.
