For something a little different for Father’s Day, Galveston families may want to take their dads to the Second Annual Galveston Cajun Festival.
This three-day event will have the classic Texas and Louisiana-style food, fun, and entertainment.
Three competitions will be featured - crawfish racing, a crawfish-eating contest, and a Cajun gumbo cook-off. Live entertainment will be in the genres of blues, jazz, zydeco, brass, country classic rack, and Tejano.
A Kids’ Zone will have rides, games, and a foam pit. For $10, an all-day wristband will be available.
Professional athletes will be on hand for signing autographs. Fans may want to purchase Promotional Products such as T-Shirts and visors online to wear in order to show their support for their favorite athlete.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, umbrella, and blankets to sit on. Some proceeds from this event will go to benefit local charities.
The 2nd annual Galveston Cajun Festival will be free and will run from June 16 through June 18 at Kempner Park in and around the Garten Verein Pavilion, 2704 Avenue O, Galveston.
