Galveston families will be more than ready to participate in the upcoming Galveston Park Board of Trustees’ Galveston Family Beach Challenge coming in June.
Part of Stewart Beach, 201 Seawall Boulevard, will turn into a large giant-sized obstacle event. Families will be competing in bigger-than-life types of classic games.
Each stations will feature one of 14 games, which include Blind Water, Volley Balloon, Time Challenge, Beam Bag, Limbo, Real Battle Ship, Sack Race, Sand Castle, and Volleyball. Classic games giant-sized will include Connect 4, Toss Game, Memory Card Dominoes, and Jenga.
First place winning family will receive prizes worth $2000. Some prizes will be four VIP passes to local attractions such as Bishop’s Palace, Harbor Tours, Great Storm Theater, Seawolf Park, and Four passes will also be given for museums such as Rosenberg Library, the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig, Texas Seaport and Bryan museums. The awards also include a prepaid $500 Visa card. The second place family gets $500 prize package and third place will get $250 in prizes.
Photographers and video personal at event such as this usually take pictures and videos of the event. Videos usually go on the event website, while pictures go to local Print shops to be included in the hosting city’s visitor guide brochure printing.
The Challenge will run from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm on June 21
