Galveston will get to enjoy a holiday party at the Bryan Museum, annual Christmas parade, and Santa Hustle 5K this December.
Holiday Delights promises to be a Texas Size Christmas evening for families. Little ones may get their pictures taken with Santa and leave him reminders letters, pet animals in the petting zoo, and go on an elf hunt. Food trucks will have holiday goodies for purchase, and everyone can make a craft, enjoy the music, and take in the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. The museum will be handing out free Books to the children.
Holiday Delights will be December 2 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bryan Museum, 1315 21st Street.
The Galveston Municipal Police Association’s Galveston Christmas Parade, with its floats, golf carts, antique cars, fire trucks, bicycles, horses, walking groups, bands, pets, city vehicles, and political candidates will be returning on Saturday, December 10 starting at 6:30 pm in Downtown Galveston.
Entries, especially political candidates, in parades such as this often like to arrange banner printing beforehand so they can have something with which to introduce themselves to the spectators.
Santa Hustle Galveston will include a Kids’ Dash (7:45 am), Half Marathon (8:00 am), and a 5K (8:15 am). Swag will include unisex hoodies, finisher medals, and Santa Hustle beanies. Racers will receive candy, cookies, and can enjoy music at the finish line. The race will be at the Grand Galvez, Sunday, December 18.
