Car racing event to debut in Galveston

A weekend-long celebration of cars and culture will make its Texas debut this April as Mustang Week comes to Galveston.

The week will feature automotive events like autocross, burnout, and drag racing and more. Auto enthusiasts can also show off their vintage or custom rides with a car show and cruise-in area. The week will kick off with Track Day, where visitors can try out the 2.4-mile Motor Speedway Resort track themselves, with events including go-karting and classes in high performance driving. The night will include a free Kickoff Party with live music and a display of vintage cars. The competitions will then begin in earnest with categories like Grudge Racing, Quickest Past Challenge, and True Street Class. The event will conclude with a Car Show Awards.

There will also be a festival area with carnival games, food trucks, live music performances, and of course fireworks. Vendors at the Performance Marketplace will be offering car-related goods and gifts. Vendors at events like this often offer exclusive deals and Promotional Products to take advantage of the occasion. The event is typically hosted in Myrtle Beach annually, with the Galveston event marking its first efforts to branch out to a second location.

The 2025 Mustang Week Texas will take place from April 24 to 27, with events taking place at various locations in Galveston and Houston.
