A popular event series is ongoing in Friendswood to bring music to the summer nights.
Concerts in the Park are hosted by the City of Friendswood, Parks and Recreation Department, and sponsored by Edward Jones and Aaron Daniel. They bring a wide variety of artists to the cheerful surroundings of Stevenson Park. The series began in May and will continue through the end of June, with an upcoming performance promising to be a treat.
The Girl Can’t Help It is a tribute band for Journey, and they take their name from one of Journey’s hit songs, and from the fact the group has a female lead vocalist, which is unusual. The group adds the details they find in Journey recordings to their shows, creating the legendary harmonies audiences expect when they listen to Journey. All the band members are also vocalists, which allows them to recreate the trademark Journey sound. They are also expert instrumentalists who play Journey’s music with accuracy and precision.
Organizers still have room for anyone who would like to sponsor a concert or provide a door prize.
This concert is scheduled for June 6, starting at 7.00 pm. People coming to the concert are encouraged to bring refreshments, lawn chairs, and blankets while they relax and enjoy the evening. Performances like this benefit when organizers use poster printing, which is an economical method to advertise such events.
