Creating art is fun and interesting, and now budding artists in Friendswood have a chance to produce a painting of their own.
Painting with a Twist is hosting a workshop at which people will create a seasonal painting on their choice of a framed canvas, unframed canvas, or wood. The subject is a light blue pumpkin, centered, with a brown cattail on each side, and a bright yellow flower on each side. The word “Thankful,” written in cursive, is centered above the pumpkin. The painting is perfect for Thanksgiving.
Class organizers have advice for participants. First, adult events such as this allow participants to BYOB. The organizer will supply chilling buckets, bottle openers, napkins, snack plates, and drinking cups, but patrons will need to bring their own ice.
In addition, organizers note that anyone who is 20 minutes late will still need to complete the painting within the allotted class time. If they are unable to do so, they are welcome to bring their unfinished project to the shop on Saturday, where they will receive limited help from staff members to complete the painting. During the class, instructors will provide much more detailed, individual instruction.
The “Thankful Autumn Pumpkin” event is scheduled for November 9, from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm at Painting with a Twist, 607 South Friendswood Drive, #18. Using flyer printing, organizers of events like this can create economical handouts to advertise the class.
