The second ever Greater Houston Food Truck Festival will take place this October in Pasadena, Texas. With food trucks now looked to as a source of not just cheap eats but genuinely great food, the festival is looking to highlight the diversity and quality of street food available in the Houston metro area.
Trucks and foodies from the greater Houston area, including smaller cities like Pasadena and Friendswood, will converge at the Pasadena Municipal Fairgrounds on the afternoon of October 6. Last summer's inaugural event boasted an attendance of over 7,000, who enjoyed food ranging from barbecue to lobster. As food trucks have become more popular, they have begun to advertise themselves both through time-tested methods like brochure printing and flyer printing and digital media. Attendees may discover trucks worth tracking down as they move around the city.
In addition to the food, the festival will feature local musical acts and kid-friendly attractions such as water slides and a bouncy house. The festival's stated goal is:
"[…to] showcase the diversity in Houston’s culinary community along with some of the cities amazing musical talent. Our focus is to highlight & celebrate our wonderful melting pot that we call home, and allow so many others to experience the real 'H-TOWN' lifestyle."
