Friendswood is getting ready to throw the party of the year, complete with a special guest.

December will bring the 16th Annual Santa in the Park celebration to Stevenson Park. People attending the party will be able to take photos with Santa, shop at a holiday market, nibble on tasty food, listen to seasonal music, have their faces painted, and more. Perhaps the most exciting part of the event is that there will be 40,000 pounds of snow for people to play in, a rarity in Texas.

There is a new perk this year—wristbands. They are only $15 and are good for both the snow hill and additional attractions. Those with a Fast Pass Wristband will be able to skip to the front of the line for the snow hill, though this is the only attraction where this is the case.

The event also includes the annual Chamber of Commerce Lighted Parade, and another cheerful attraction, the Lighted Holiday Trail, which will already have been running for several weeks before Santa comes to the park.

Santa in the Park is set for December 14, with the parade scheduled to start at 6.00 pm. The HomeTown Bank of Friendswood is the title sponsor of the event. When organizers plan outdoor events such as this, they may decide to contact a printer who can use banner printing to create sturdy, weatherproof decorations for the venue.
