Friendswood plans annual tree giveaway

With the goal of keeping Friendswood yards beautiful, the city leaders will host the annual Tree Giveaway in January.

The plan is for 150 15-gallon trees to be given away. Each participating family will receive one tree. Only residents of Friendswood will be eligible to receive a tree and photo ID will be required. The variety of trees to be given away will include live oak, lace bark elm, and water oak.

Banner printing is often used as signage to highlight specific areas or information. The Banners can have the features involved in a special event, parking notation, and other relevant details. They can be placed within the areas of the activities by hanging or mounting them.

An educational program has been created and is available to teach the steps in planting and caring for the trees in a home yard, which is designed to be a family opportunity with long-lasting benefits. The mayor has also rendered a presentation via video to the residents about the return of the much-anticipated event.

The Friendswood Tree Giveaway will take place in a new event location on January 16, starting at 8:00 am. Centennial Park is the site for the upcoming public event and is located at 2200 S.
