What's Happening in Friendswood, TX…

The City of Pearland, just a short distance from Friendswood, will host the 2021 Run Pearland event. The race returns this year as a live, in-person event in just a couple of weeks.

The organizers are moving forward with plans for the half marathon and 10K. Participants who paid for virtual participation had the option to change to live and just pay the small increase in registration fees.

Observing ongoing safety protocols, race packets can be picked up in advance as there will not be a race day packet pick-up available this year. If a registrant cannot pick the packet up in advance, a friend or family member may do so.

Included with the race packet is a runner’s bib, shirt, and a swag bag full of giveaways. Often, promotional products donated by local businesses and other donors include their logos and contact information. This type of sponsorship is designed to ideally create future business through brand awareness.

A half marathon handcycle race is an option for $70, which is the same price as the half-day running level. The 10K is $50, the virtual half marathon is also $50, and the virtual 10K is $40.
