Stevenson Park in Friendswood is the site for the city’s 124th celebration of America’s Independence Day.

The highly anticipated Grand Parade will kick off the festivities beginning on Friendswood Drive and will wind its way to the park where a full agenda of activities await.

The parade’s theme this year is “There’s No Place like Home” and interested parties may submit entries to participate at no charge. Participants must decorate their entries using the theme. Games, live entertainment, games, rides and food will be part of the fun at the park until 3:00 pm. Applications and more details are available via the event website.

Vendors may register for a booth and will be required to provide their own set-up and materials. They must apply with health department regulations, particularly if serving food. Business card printing is typical preparation conducted by vendors to ensure they have an ample supply to promote as attendees stop by their booths.

The evening activities will begin at 7:30 starting with the Molly Ringwald’s live band, presenting the fun of the 1980s. Patriotic music will be synchronized as the fireworks display begins at 9:20 pm.

The City of Friendswood’s 124th 4th of July Celebration will take place from 3:00 pm on July 4 until the small hours of July 5, providing summertime family fun for locals and visitors.
