The annual Fall Haul in Friendswood takes place every year and will be held on the second Saturday in November. The activity allows residents to get rid of unwanted items of most all types. With plenty of time to plan for this returning event, locals can gather their unwanted items together and be ready.
Items that will be accepted this year include metal, plastic, old appliances, old furniture, tree limbs, grass clippings, wood, and up to 200 pounds of shredding.
Items not accepted include bricks or other Forms of cement, oil, chemicals, hazardous waste products, tires, batteries or paint.
Shredding services will be available from 8:00 a.m. until noon. In the event the designated truck becomes full prior to noon, the services will conclude. There is a 200-pound limit per vehicle. Items not accepted include binders, cardboard, file folders, newspaper, video tapes, floppy disks and microfiche. Please note electronic recycling will not be available.
In consideration of current COVID status, the annual garage sale that is normally part of the Fall Haul event will not be held this year.
Signage is helpful in directing people to specific areas at public events. Banner printing can be done by local Print shops and can serve as visible signage as they can be hung or mounted most anywhere.
The Friendswood Fall Haul will take place at Centennial Park located at 2200 S Friendswood Drive from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. For more information, call 281-996-3220.
