Friendswood-based company to host multinational expo

The 24th annual FlexPO conference is coming to Texas this October, causing many in the chemical industry to renew their business card printing orders and practice their handshakes.

With a keynote by retired Braskem Americas VP Robert Nadim, this expo promises to be a can't-miss event for professionals in the industry.

Flexpo, which was started by Friendswood, Texas company Chemical Market Resources (CMR), was envisioned as a flexible expo with a location that always changes. Last year, the site chosen was Shanghai, but for 2015 CMR decided to bring the proceedings a little closer to home. Woodlands, Texas will host the event, which is devoted this year to informing professionals about ‘Chemical Industry Gamechangers’.

Specialty Polyolefins, a variety of thermoplastics commonly used in car exteriors, are a major focus this year, alongside shale gas. There is also a lineup of more than 30 speakers from the many different areas of the chemical industry.

The zenith of the event is the October 20 keynote titled 'Innovation' by Robert Nadim, an executive with more than 20 years’ experience in the field. The expo will provide a variety of insights for operation and innovation in modern chemical companies.

FlexPO will take place from October 19-22 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. Attendance is only open to those who register ahead of time on the website.
