A major festival will be held soon in Pearland, a short distance from Friendswood, and promises fun for everyone who loves food, music, and trying a new brew.
The Houston Folk, Blues & Red Dirt Festival features a farmers’ market with the freshest products possible, more than 100 craftspeople and artists, major concerts, and many attractions including fun contests. The Taste of Texas Food Garden will be set up, featuring wine, cold draft beer, and gourmet cuisine.
There will be entertainment on the main stage during the entire event, which is suitable for audiences of all ages. The line-up announced is the Grammy-winning band Men of Endurance, “The Voice” finalist Anders Drerup, Grammy winner Tony Kamel with his guests Wood & Wire, bluesman and Grammy winner Jeremiah Johnson, and Nashville-based Stone Senate, who found themselves on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 2022. It is possible the line-up could change due to unforeseen circumstances.
The festival will be held at Independence Park at 3449 Pearland Parkway, a short drive from Friendswood, and is set for Saturday, April 1 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm. The family-friendly event is free of charge. When there are many different activities taking place, organizers of events like this can make it more structured for attendees by using flyer printing to create handouts featuring a schedule and a map.
